Building Inspection and Zoning
The inspector issues permits and provides building, electrical and plumbing inspections for residential
and commercial construction and remodeling, and provides assistance with zoning issues.
Building permits are required for "any" building work over $200 in actual costs.
Call the building inspector with any questions in regards to when a permit is required.
Permit fees shall be paid to the building, electrical, plumbing and heating inspector before the inspector
shall issue to the contractor, owner or his agent a building, electrical, plumbing, or heating permit.
If work is commenced before a building permit is issued or permission to start is granted by the
Building Inspector, all fees shall be doubled.
