Tax Payments
Current real estate tax payments made prior to January 31st are collected by the City of Ripon. Current real estate tax payments made after January 31st, as well as delinquent real estate tax payments for all municipalities are collected by the Fond du Lac County Treasurer's Office.
Duplicate copies of real estate tax bills and payment history is available on the Fond du Lac County website at www.fdlco.wi.gov
Wisconsin state law requires the tax bill to be mailed to the property owner of record. If you are no longer the property owner of record, please return the tax bill, including a phone number and/or email address to: City of Ripon, 100 Jackson Street, Ripon, WI 54971.
How to Pay Your Taxes to the City of Ripon (1st installment or full payment)
We encourage you to pay by mail to avoid waiting in line. Payment amounts are included on the payment stub(s), located at the bottom of your tax bill. Enclose appropriate payment stub(s) with your payment. Mail payment(s) to appropriate location listed on payment stub. Please do not enclose the original tax bill.
Your check for real estate and personal property taxes cannot include payments for other City services, such as water bills and dog/cat licenses. Call 748-4915 if you have any questions on your tax bill.
In the City of Ripon, payments will be accepted in the form of cash, check, cashier’s check or money order. Credit card payments through PSN with a convenience fee added on of 2.65%. Verify that the escrow check meets or exceeds the tax bill amount and endorse escrow check. Overpayments will be refunded within four weeks of payment. Please include a self-addressed stamped envelope if you would like a tax receipt sent to you.
