We are a demand response door-to-door shared ride program. "Shared Ride” means you may travel with more than one passenger with different destinations and origins. The program is administered by the City of Ripon in partnership with Brown Cab Inc. The City is responsible for determining the fares, hours of service, areas of service and how the service is operated. The City contracts with a private transit company to provide the service. This company is selected through a competitive bidding process and the City must solicit these bids every five years. Funding for the service comes from 4 sources. These are the Federal Transit Administration(FTA), the State of Wisconsin, The City of Ripon and you, the rider, through your patronage.
