2026 City Budget
Each year, the City of Ripon begins its budget process in early summer and concludes in November with Council adoption. The 2026 budget focuses on finishing major projects from 2025, stabilizing long-term financing, and making strategic investments in infrastructure, public safety, community amenities, and core operations.
Below is the remaining timeline for the 2026 budget. Community participation is welcome and we encourage questions at any time. You may also complete the below survey to provide feedback.

Tuesday, October 14 – Common Council Meeting: Budget Review & Updates

Friday, October 17 – Preliminary Budget delivered to Mayor and Council

Monday, October 27 – Council Budget Review: Summary Budget Resolution, Preliminary Fee Schedule, and set Public Hearing

Thursday, October 30 / Thursday, November 6 – Publish Budget Public Hearing Notice in newspaper

Tuesday, November 11 (7:00 p.m.) – Public Hearing and Council action to adopt the 2026 Budget and Fee Schedule Resolution
