Full-Time Position
Salary: $31.18 – $41.24 per hour

The City of Ripon is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Police Officer. This is a full-time position responsible for performing the essential functions of a sworn law enforcement officer while enforcing the laws of the State of Wisconsin and the municipal ordinances of the City of Ripon.

Position Responsibilities
* Enforce Wisconsin State laws and City of Ripon municipal ordinances
* Respond to calls for service
* Conduct investigations
* Prepare reports and documentation
* Engage in community policing efforts
* Perform all essential duties of a sworn police officer

Schedule
* 12-hour shift rotation
* 4 days on / 5 days off
* Built-in extended time off throughout the year

Lateral Transfer Program

Available for officers with three (3) or more years of experience:

* Entry pay based on experience (within posted wage range)
* Forwarded sick leave balance
* Increased vacation accrual rate based on experience

Qualifications
* Ability to perform the essential functions of the position
* Ability to possess and lawfully carry a firearm
* Ability to operate standard law enforcement equipment
* Valid driver’s license

* No domestic abuse convictions
* No felony conviction
