Water Operator OR Water Laborer (Entry-Level)

 

Are you hands-on, safety-minded, and ready to serve your community? The City of Ripon is hiring for ONE position in our Water Utility team—based on your experience and certifications:
 
WATER OPERATOR
Starting Pay: $27.56/hour+
Operate and maintain the City’s water supply, treatment, and distribution systems. You'll collect and analyze samples, repair infrastructure, monitor treatment systems, and respond to emergency calls on a rotating basis.
 
WATER LABORER (Entry-Level)
Starting Pay: $24.89/hour+
Gain valuable experience assisting with lab work, maintenance, and system operations. This is a great opportunity to learn on the job and work toward becoming a certified Water Operator.
 
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
  • Mechanical aptitude & problem-solving skills
  • Strong work ethic & willingness to work outdoors
  • Ability to respond to emergency calls within 30 minutes
  • Valid driver’s license
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certifications (for Operator) or desire to earn them (for Laborer)
**On-call rotation: One week every four weeks
**Career Growth: Laborer can grow into Operator with paid certification support.

Paramedic 

 

Join our team as a full-time Paramedic! This role offers eligibility for overtime, a competitive benefits package, and a primarily weekday schedule consisting of one 24-hour shift and one 16-hour shift each week, with flexibility based on operational needs.
 
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide emergency medical care
• Supervise team and assist with training
• Maintain schedules, inventory, and equipment
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures
 
Requirements:
• Wisconsin Paramedic License
• CPR, ACLS, PALS certifications
• 2 years of paramedic experience (preferred)
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• WI Firefighter 1 Certification strongly preferred
 
Pay: $28.00–$32.00/hr. Wisconsin Retirement System and other competitive benefits!

Administrative Assistant - Police Department

Who We're Looking For:
A reliable, detail-oriented, trustworthy individual to join our team completing administrative and confidential duties within the City of Ripon Police Department.

Key Responsibilities:
• Creates and maintains confidential correspondence, acts as the custodian of records for the department
• Answers phone calls from the public, directing to appropriate personnel
• Manage ordinance citations for court processing, keeps liaison with court personnel, process Records management and TRACS program
• Ability to access multiple data systems, collect fines and forfeitures, issues receipts, and keep accurate count of monies
• Responsible to maintain inventory of office supplies and forms
• Plans, coordinates, assigns, monitors, and reviews work flow and work activities in the clerical division

Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Salary Range: Starting at $21/ hour
