The City of Ripon is soliciting proposals from qualified engineering firms to provide professional services required to complete the design, permitting, bidding, construction administration, and funding assistance for the development of a pilot well in 2026 and a municipal production well in 2027–2028.
The City recently completed a Well Site Investigation Report (WSIR) for proposed Wells No. 10 and No. 11, which has been conditionally approved by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR). The well site is located on a City-owned parcel (Parcel ID: RIP-16-14-28-14-009-00) on the south side of the City near the Sandmar residential development and Barlow Park Elementary School. The designated well location on this parcel is situated in the southeast corner, accessible from Pleasant Street.
The selected firm will assist the City in moving from WSIR approval to pilot well construction (test drilling, pump testing, and analysis) and subsequently to the engineering of a complete municipal well site (Well No. 10), including any required treatment, pumphouse, and site infrastructure.
